West Millbrook Scrapbooking Club
Advisors: Mrs. Cole and Mrs. Walters
The WMMS Scrapbooking Club is one of many 30-minute, once-a-month clubs that meets at 2:30 on "Club Day." You'll have an opportunity to work on a digital scrapbook using MS Powerpoint or a paper scrapbook. Due to time constraints, you'll probably only have time to create one or two pages per club period, so we hope that you'll use club time to become inspired and will continue your projects throughout the month. While we will have a few supplies available, they are not ideal for scrapbooking, since they may have acids and other chemicals that can damage precious memorabilia and photos through the years. With this in mind, it is best for you to bring your own materials for scrapbooking.
For paper scrapbooks, you'll need:
Album Background papers Photo corner mounts, stickers, templates, scissors, rubber stamps, vellum, eyelets, ribbon, glitter, tags, brads… Embossing materials- Special scissors for patterned edges
Archival supplies (very important!) Your thoughts (Journaling) Acid-free materials Your photos (we will not be able to print photos at school)
For digital scrapbooks, please bring:
- Your photos in digital form or hard copies for scanning.
- Your creativity
- An e-mail address that can receive large files, so that you can send your file to a home computer. (Gmail allows files of up to 10 MB. You may want to speak with your parents about setting up a gmail account.)
