CyberSmart Curriculum

CyberSmart! is a free curriculum for designed for America's school children. The CyberSmart! Curriculum is non-sequential and is easily integrated, in part or in full. Organized in five units, each teaching an important facet of Internet use, it consists of 65 original standards-based lesson plans with Activity Sheets. The number of lessons per grade increases as students' reading and critical thinking skills develop. The United States Congress has commissioned i-SAFE America Inc. to bring Internet safety education and awareness to the youth of this country. i-SAFE America partners with school districts and law enforcement agencies across the country to teach our nation's youth to use the Internet confidently and responsibly. The i-SAFE program is available at no cost to school districts, provided they adhere to specific guidelines, which require advance preparation through an implementation plan, contact with i-Safe a few weeks in advance to acquire supplemental material, and a follow-up report to the i-Safe organization.CyberAngels

The CyberAngels organization offers comprehensive programs, with some online classes, and even victim assistance for schools, families, and other agencies interested in keeping individuals safe on the internet. Additionally, they closely monitor Internet legal topics and communicate relevant issues with their readers.GetNetWise

GetNetWise is a public service offered by Internet industry corporations and public interest organizations to help insure that Internet users have educational, entertaining, and safe online experiences. The kids safety component offers safety tips by age. While this site is geared toward educating and enlightening parents, there are a variety of resources that are great references for educators. The NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational safety resource that teaches kids and teens how to stay safer on the Internet. Concerned adults also have access to additional resources for learning and teaching about the dangers children may face online.
